Position Summary

The Electrical Journeyman is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC), local codes, and company standards. This position works under the direction of the Foreman and Project Manager while maintaining a safe, clean, and professional job site.

Responsibilities

· Install, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair electrical systems.

· Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.

· Install conduit (EMT, Rigid, PVC, and Flexible Conduit).

· Pull wire and terminate electrical equipment.

· Install electrical panels, switchgear, transformers, lighting, and devices.

· Perform electrical service work and repairs.

· Troubleshoot electrical issues efficiently and safely.

· Ensure all work complies with NEC, OSHA, and local building codes.

· Communicate professionally with customers, contractors, inspectors, and team members.

· Complete daily work assignments accurately and efficiently.

· Maintain company tools and equipment.

· Keep the job site clean and organized throughout the day.

· Assist apprentices by providing guidance and training.

· Complete daily job reports and required documentation.

· Report safety concerns, accidents, or job site issues immediately.

Qualifications:

· Current OSHA 30

· Minimum of 7 years of commercial and/or residential electrical experience.

· Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC).

· Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics.

· Experience troubleshooting electrical systems.

· Ability to lift 75 pounds.

· Ability to work on ladders, lifts, rooftops, and in confined spaces.

· Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

· Ability to pass a background check and drug screening, if required.

Work Schedule:

· Monday through Friday : 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

· Occasional overtime may be required.
