Journeyman Electrician

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Electrician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of electrical systems across industrial and commercial settings. Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in industrial and commercial environments, ensuring adherence to local electrical codes and NFPA 70 standards.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to accurately execute wiring and system installations.
• Perform high-voltage electrical wiring and low-voltage system work safely and efficiently on construction sites or renovation projects.
• Use hand tools, power tools, voltmeters, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic equipment to identify issues within complex electrical systems.
• Conduct electrical diagnostics to troubleshoot problems with industrial electrical systems, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and other automation components.
• Ensure all work complies with electrical safety procedures, including NFPA 70 compliance, to protect yourself and team members from hazards.
• Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and team members to complete projects on time while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Experience

• Proven experience as a Journeyman Electrician in industrial or commercial settings with a strong understanding of electrical systems installation and maintenance.
• Demonstrated ability to read electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams accurately.
• Hands-on experience with high-voltage wiring, low-voltage systems, and industrial electrical components such as PLCs.
• Familiarity with local electrical codes (such as NEC) and safety procedures related to construction site work or renovation projects.
• Skilled in troubleshooting complex electrical issues using diagnostic tools like voltmeters and ohmmeters.
• Experience working on construction sites or renovation projects involving electrical wiring installation or upgrades.
• Knowledge of NFPA 70 standards for safe electrical work practices across diverse environments.

Pay: $30.98 - $37.31 per hour
