Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Journeyman Millwright to join our team in an industrial setting. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing machinery and equipment critical to our operations. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems, precision work, and safety protocols to ensure smooth and efficient industrial processes. The Journeyman Millwright will play a vital role in supporting the ongoing reliability and performance of our plant’s equipment.

Duties

• Install, align, and assemble industrial machinery and equipment according to specifications and safety standards.
• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and troubleshooting on mechanical systems to prevent downtime.
• Repair or replace faulty components to ensure continuous operation of machinery.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals to accurately execute tasks.
• Collaborate with other maintenance personnel and operations teams to coordinate repairs and upgrades.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment safely and effectively during maintenance activities.
• Document maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections for record-keeping and compliance purposes.
• Adhere strictly to safety protocols and industry regulations to maintain a safe working environment.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Journeyman Millwright in an industrial environment.
• Completion of a recognized apprenticeship program or equivalent training in millwrighting or mechanical trades.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and conveyor systems.
• Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and manuals accurately.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex machinery issues efficiently.
• Physical dexterity and strength to perform manual tasks in various industrial conditions.
• Commitment to safety standards and procedures at all times.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
