Journeyman Plumber

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Plumber to join our dynamic construction and maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems across various commercial and residential projects. Your expertise will ensure that plumbing systems operate efficiently, safely, and in compliance with all relevant codes and standards. Duties

• Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, valves, and appliances on construction sites and during remodeling projects
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute plumbing layouts
• Use hand tools, power tools, pipe threading equipment, and welding techniques to assemble and install plumbing components
• Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely to ensure efficient workflow on site
• Conduct routine inspections of plumbing systems to identify issues and perform necessary repairs or replacements
• Collaborate with construction teams, carpenters, HVAC specialists, and other trades to coordinate project tasks effectively
• Maintain detailed records of work performed, parts used, and inspections completed in compliance with safety standards

Experience

• Proven construction site experience with a strong background in construction plumbing and mechanical systems
• Skilled in blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and understanding of HVAC systems
• Hands-on experience with pipe threading, welding, remodeling, maintenance work, and assembly tasks
• Familiarity with the use of hand tools, power tools, heavy lifting techniques, and basic math for measurements and calculations
• Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and best practices for plumbing installation and repair
• Field service experience preferred for troubleshooting plumbing issues in various environments
• Additional handyman skills such as carpentry or general maintenance are a plus for versatile project support
