Journeyman Plumber

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems in residential and commercial buildings following blueprints, schematics, and construction plans.
• Read and interpret construction drawings, schematics, and technical manuals to ensure precise pipe installation and system setup.
• Perform pipe threading, fitting, welding, and assembly using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to ensure secure connections.
• Comply with local building codes, plumbing building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards during all phases of work.
• Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on plumbing systems to optimize performance and prevent future issues.
• Install gas piping systems safely and efficiently while adhering to all safety regulations and industry best practices.
• Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and clients to deliver exceptional service while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Qualifications

• Proven construction site experience with a strong background in residential or commercial plumbing projects.
• Valid journeyman plumber license or equivalent certification demonstrating comprehensive knowledge of plumbing systems.
• Skilled in blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and understanding construction plans.
• Proficient with hand tools, power tools, pipe threading equipment, welding techniques, and mechanical installation methods.
• Knowledge of plumbing building codes, local regulations, safety regulations, and building code compliance standards.
• Experience working with HVAC systems, gas piping systems, maintenance repair operations (MRO), remodeling projects, and general handyman tasks is highly desirable.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail in fast-paced environments.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
• Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to pipe sizing and system layouts.

Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
