Jr. Accountant

Position Summary

The Junior Accountant supports day-to-day accounting activities and helps maintain accurate financial records. This role assists with reconciliations, journal entries, accounts payable and receivable activities, and month-end closing processes while ensuring compliance with established accounting procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with daily accounting transactions and maintain accurate financial records.
• Prepare and post journal entries and account adjustments.
• Perform bank and general ledger account reconciliations.
• Support Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable activities as needed.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Review financial information and help identify and resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare basic financial reports and supporting documentation.
• Assist with audits and provide requested documentation.
• Maintain organized accounting records and files.
• Perform other accounting-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 0–2 years of accounting or related experience.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with accounting or ERP systems preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
