We are looking for a Junior Backend Engineer with around 2 years of hands-on experience in backend development. The ideal candidate should have good working knowledge of Python and/or Node.js , REST APIs, databases, AWS, Docker, and backend application development.

Responsibilities

• Backend Architecture Development: Design and develop scalable backend applications using Python and Node.js.

• Build secure, high-performance RESTful APIs and asynchronous event-driven services.

• Design modular, reusable, and maintainable software following industry best practices.

• Lead backend architecture discussions.

• Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.

• AI, NLP Data Processing: Design and implement large-scale document and data processing pipelines.

• Build backend systems supporting AI and NLP workloads.

• Develop services for processing structured and unstructured datasets.

• Integrate Large Language Models (LLMs) and other AI services into enterprise applications.

• Collaborate with AI/ML engineers to deploy production-ready machine learning models.

• Optimize AI inference pipelines for performance and cost.

• Cloud Engineering (AWS): Design, deploy, and manage cloud-native applications using AWS services including Amazon EKS, AWS Lambda, Amazon EC2, Amazon S3, Amazon RDS, Amazon ECS, IAM, CloudWatch, EventBridge, SQS/SNS, API Gateway, Secrets Manager, CloudFront.

• Designing highly available cloud architectures.

• Infrastructure automation.

• Performance optimization.

• Cost optimization.

• Security best practices.

• Disaster recovery planning.

• Database Data Engineering: Design scalable database schemas.

• Optimize SQL queries and indexing strategies.

• Work with relational and NoSQL databases.

• Build ETL/data ingestion pipelines.

• Handle large-scale data migration and processing.

• Ensure data integrity, consistency, and high availability.

• DevOps Platform Engineering: Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines.

• Containerize applications using Docker.

• Deploy applications to Kubernetes (Amazon EKS).

• Implement logging, monitoring, and observability solutions.

• Improve deployment automation and operational efficiency.

• Leadership Mentorship: Mentor junior and mid-level engineers.

• Conduct architecture and code reviews.

• Define engineering standards and best practices.

• Participate in sprint planning and technical estimation.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

  Required Technical Skills

• Programming Languages: Python (Expert), Node.js (Expert), JavaScript / TypeScript

• Backend Technologies: REST APIs, GraphQL, Microservices Architecture, Event-Driven Architecture, Message Queues, Asynchronous Processing, API Security, Authentication Authorization (OAuth2, JWT)

• Frontend (Working Knowledge): React.js, Next.js

• AWS Cloud: Strong hands-on experience with: Amazon EKS, AWS Lambda, Amazon EC2, Amazon S3, Amazon RDS, Amazon ECS, API Gateway, CloudWatch, IAM, VPC, CloudFront, Route 53, Elastic Load Balancer, Auto Scaling, EventBridge, SQS, SNS, AWS Secrets Manager

• Databases: PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, Elasticsearch/OpenSearch

  Requirements

  Required Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

• Around 2 years of hands-on backend development experience.

• Good knowledge of Python and/or Node.js.

• Experience developing REST APIs.

• Good understanding of databases and SQL.

• Exposure to AWS or another cloud platform.

• Experience with Git and version control.

• Good problem-solving and debugging skills.

• Willingness to learn new technologies and work in a fast-paced environment.

  Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with both Python and Node.js.

• Experience with microservices architecture.

• Hands-on Docker experience.

• Exposure to Kubernetes/Amazon EKS.

• Experience with AWS services.

• Exposure to AI/ML, NLP, LLM, or document-processing applications.

• Experience with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Redis.

• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines.
