Jr Engineer - Contracts

Job Summary

We are looking for a Junior Contracts Engineer with 46 years of experience in the residential real estate/construction industry. The candidate will support the Contracts team in managing contractual documentation, work orders, subcontractor coordination, billing, variations, and commercial compliance throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and maintain work orders, contracts, agreements, and subcontractor documentation.
• Coordinate with project, purchase, finance, planning, and site teams for contractual and commercial requirements.
• Review BOQs, rate analysis, scope of work, specifications, and commercial terms.
• Assist in preparation and verification of contractor/subcontractor bills and measurements.
• Track variations, extra items, deviations, and additional works and ensure proper documentation and approvals.
• Monitor contractual commitments, deliverables, timelines, and compliance with agreed terms.
• Assist in rate negotiation and finalization with contractors and vendors as required.
• Maintain records of LOIs, work orders, agreements, amendments, bills, claims, and correspondence.
• Support the team in identifying and resolving contractual and commercial issues with contractors.
• Coordinate with site teams for measurement verification, work progress, and certification.
• Assist in preparation of MIS reports, contract status reports, and commercial summaries for management.
• Ensure proper documentation and adherence to company policies and contractual procedures.
• Support the Contracts Head/Manager in contract closure, reconciliation, and final settlement.

Preferred Experience

• 46 years of relevant experience in Contracts / Commercial / Quantity Surveying.
• Experience with residential real estate projects will be preferred.
• Candidates with experience in contractor management, billing, variation management, and contract administration will be preferred.
