Jr Full Stack : Backend / Data Base and Data Modeling

Urgent Requirement: Junior Full-Stack Engineer (Backend-First) Kochi | Hybrid | US Shift Experience: 01 year | Full-time

We're looking for a Junior Full-Stack Engineer with a strong inclination toward backend development. The role involves contributing across the stack while taking primary ownership of backend functionality and integrations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services and APIs
• Work with databases and backend integrations
• Contribute to frontend features as part of end-to-end delivery
• Collaborate with team members across engineering and product
• Participate in code reviews and technical discussions
• Test developed applications
• Troubleshoot and enhance existing systems

Requirements

• 01 year of experience or relevant project work
• Strong understanding of JavaScript/TypeScript and of backend services using Node.js
• Experience with backend frameworks such as Express.js or NestJS
• Familiarity with SQL or NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL)
• Basic understanding of frontend technologies (React.js, CSS)
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
• Adaptable to changing situations and technologies
• A positive, can-do attitude

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Python for backend services or scripting
• Exposure to modern full-stack frameworks (Next.js is a plus)
• Experience with Git or similar version control, and with hosting services (Cloudflare, Vercel, Railway)
• Personal, academic, or internship projects demonstrating full-stack work

Key Responsibilities

• Design and maintain database schemas and data models
• Write and optimize SQL queries
• Support backend services and data-driven features
• Collaborate with frontend and backend engineers on data requirements
• Help improve data performance, consistency, and reliability
• Contribute to overall application development as needed

Requirements

• 0–1 year of experience or equivalent academic/project work
• Strong understanding of database fundamentals and SQL or NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL)
• Backend programming experience with TypeScript, Python, Node.js, FastAPI, or Rust
• Familiarity with frontend technologies
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment

Preferred Qualifications
