Jr. High Math/Science Teacher

We are seeking a passionate and collaborative full-time Math & Science Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. This position will primarily serve students in grades 7-8, teaching a combination of math and science sections. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic about both subject areas, enjoys working with middle school students, and is committed to creating engaging, hands-on learning experiences.

Duties

• Teach 7th and 8th grade math and science courses.
• Plan and deliver engaging, standards-aligned instruction.
• Create lessons that encourage critical thinking, problem-solving, and student inquiry.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.
• Develop and administer assessments to monitor student progress.
• Maintain accurate grades, attendance, and student records.
• Establish and maintain a positive, safe, and productive classroom environment.
• Communicate regularly with students, families, and colleagues.
• Collaborate with grade-level teams, special education staff, and administration.
• Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school activities.

Qualifications

• Current Utah Educator License or ability to obtain appropriate licensure (required).
• Endorsement in Mathematics, Science, or a related field preferred.
• Experience teaching middle school students preferred.
• Strong classroom management and relationship-building skills.
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
