Junior Accountant

🚀 About the Role

We’re looking for a Junior Accountant with Australian public practice experience who is confident working across different types of tax and accounting work.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a modern, technology-driven accounting firm, wants exposure to a variety of clients, and is looking to build their career in Australian accounting and taxation.

You’ll work closely with our accounting team and support the preparation of tax and accounting work for individuals and businesses. 

🔧 What You’ll Be Doing

• Preparing Australian individual, company, partnership and trust tax returns

• Assisting with tax compliance and related accounting work

• Preparing and reviewing financial statements

• Working with the team to ensure client work is completed accurately and on time

• Communicating with the team regarding client requirements and outstanding information

• Using cloud-based accounting and practice management systems

• Maintaining accurate and organised client records

• Supporting other accounting and business advisory tasks as required

✅ What We’re Looking For

• 2–3 years of Australian tax preparation experience

• Experience preparing individual, company, partnership and trust tax returns

• A good understanding of Australian tax and accounting principles

• An accounting all-rounder who is comfortable working across multiple areas of accounting and tax

• A positive and pleasing personality, with a friendly and professional approach

• Good written and verbal communication skills

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• The ability to work independently while also being a team player

• Strong organisation and time-management skills

• A willingness to learn and develop within a growing firm

• Comfortable working with technology and cloud-based accounting systems

• Your own computer/laptop and equipment suitable for remote work

• A stable and reliable internet connection

CPA qualification is preferred but not required.
