Junior Accountant

About the role

Junior Accountant role reporting to the Accounting Manager, providing support in billing, collections, and general accounting functions.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Accounting Manager in areas assigned, including billing, collections, and general accounting support
• Liaise with banks on banking matters and perform bank reconciliations
• Perform AR reconciliation, analysis and reporting
• Cash collection and bank reconciliation
• Manage fixed asset records and reporting
• Manage cash advances and petty cash
• Coordinate and communicate with other departments to ensure AR processes run smoothly and collections are completed on time

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Flexible, can-do attitude with willingness to learn and a service-minded approach
• High level of accountability and attention to detail
• Experience in a school/education environment preferred
• Experience with accounting systems/ERP preferred
• Strong communication and cross-department collaboration skills
• Familiarity with BI tools or data analysis tools is a plus
