Junior Accountant

About Us: Designex Technical Services LLC is a Dubai-based architecture, interior design, and landscape design firm delivering end-to-end design and fit-out solutions across the UAE. We're growing our team and looking for a detail-oriented Junior Accountant to support our finance function.

About the Role: We're looking for a Junior Accountant to handle day-to-day bookkeeping, invoicing, and financial record-keeping, supporting the finance team in maintaining accurate accounts for our projects and operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Record daily financial transactions and maintain general ledger entries
• Prepare and process invoices, payment vouchers, and receipts
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable reconciliation
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities
• Maintain and organize financial documentation and records
• Assist in preparing VAT filings in line with UAE FTA regulations
• Reconcile bank statements and petty cash
• Support the finance manager with budgeting and reporting tasks
• Coordinate with vendors and clients on payment follow-ups

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 2–3 years of accounting experience (UAE experience preferred)
• Working knowledge of UAE VAT regulations
• Proficiency in accounting software (Tally, QuickBooks, or similar) and MS Excel
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Good communication skills in English
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• UAE residency/valid visa status preferred
