Junior Accountant

Role & responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping activities using Tally/Tally Prime.
• Record and maintain sales, purchases, receipts, payments, journal entries, and other financial transactions.
• Maintain and reconcile bank, ledger, vendor, and customer accounts.
• Perform regular bank and ledger reconciliations and identify discrepancies.
• Ensure proper documentation and systematic maintenance of accounting records.
• Support timely completion of accounting, taxation, and statutory compliance activities.
• Assist with GST, TDS, Professional Tax, and PF related activities and documentation.
• Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, customers, and external consultants whenever required.
• Prepare basic financial reports, statements, and MIS reports as required.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with internal accounting processes and controls.
• Support the Finance team during audits and financial reconciliations.

Preferred candidate profile

• 1-3 years of relevant experience in accounting and taxation.
• Strong working knowledge of Tally / Tally Prime.
• Good understanding of basic accounting principles and bookkeeping.
• Working knowledge of GST, TDS, Professional Tax (PT), and PF.
• Experience in bank reconciliation and ledger reconciliation.
• Good command of MS Excel / Google Sheets.
• Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
• Ability to independently manage routine accounting activities and meet deadlines.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Kannada, English, and Hindi is preferred.
