Junior Accountant

About the Role

We are seeking a Junior Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will support the day-to-day accounting operations and assist with financial reporting, reconciliations, and compliance matters. This role provides an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to a full spectrum of accounting functions and develop professionally within a growing organisation.

Key Responsibilities

·       Assist in maintaining full sets of accounts, including GL,AR, AP, and fixed assets.

·       Prepare accounting schedules, journal entries, and supporting documentation for month-end closing.

·       Perform bank reconciliations and account reconciliations on a timely basis.

·       Process vendor invoices, employee expense claims, and customer receipts.

·       Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

·       Support GST filings, corporate tax matters, and statutory compliance requirements.

·       Assist in the annual audit process by preparing audit schedules and supporting documents.

·       Maintain proper accounting records and filing systems.

·       Support inventory counts and fixed asset verification exercises when required.

·       Perform ad-hoc finance and administrative duties assigned by the Finance Manager.

Requirements

·       Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

·       1 to 3 years of accounting experience. Fresh graduates with relevant internship experience are welcome to apply.

·       Basic understanding of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS), GST, and corporate tax regulations.

·       Familiarity with accounting systems (e.g., Xero, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or equivalent) is an advantage.

·       Proficient in Microsoft Excel.

·       Good analytical and problem solving skills.

·       Responsible, organised, and willing to learn.

·       Able to work independently and as part of a team.

·       Good communication and interpersonal skills.
