JUNIOR ACCOUNTANT

We are looking for a responsible, detail-oriented and motivated Accountant to join our team and support the day-to-day accounting operations of the company.

Job Details

Position: Junior Accountant
Employment Type: 24 months contract
Location: Senai, Johor

Key Responsibilities

• Record and maintain daily accounting transactions accurately and in a timely manner.

• Prepare invoices, payment vouchers and other accounting documents.

• Perform bank and other account reconciliations.

• Assist in monitoring outstanding receivables and payables.

• Maintain proper filing and documentation of accounting records.

• Assist in preparing monthly accounting reports and schedules.

• Assist with payment processing and other day-to-day finance activities.

• Liaise with suppliers and relevant parties regarding invoices, payments and account-related matters.

• Assist with audit and tax-related documentation when required.

• Ensure accounting records are maintained accurately and in accordance with company procedures.

• Perform other accounting and finance-related duties as assigned by the management.

Requirements

Must Have

• Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum 1–2 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Familiar with Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel.
• Familiar with accounting software.
• Good attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial information.
• Good organisational and time management skills.
• Able to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Added Advantage

• Experience in the construction industry.
• Experience using AutoCount or other accounting software.
• Experience handling full set of accounts.
• Experience in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
• Experience with bank reconciliation and month-end closing.
• Experience dealing with suppliers, auditors or tax agents.
• Basic exposure to budgeting, financial reporting or project-related accounting.
