Junior Accountant

Our client based in Moreletta Park is looking for a Junior Accountant with accounting firm/practice experience.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Processing of day-to-day transactions, bank entries, suppliers' invoices and customer invoices as well as journal entries
• Preparing the monthly / bi-monthly VAT returns and the submission thereof
• Knowledge of Pastel Partner, Xero and Sage, Quick Books
• Good working knowledge of Company Act and Income Tax Act
• Knowledge of VAT and Employees tax and related items (COIDA/ UIF)
• Knowledge of Easy File and SARS E-Filing
• Candidate must come from an accounting practise background
• Candidate must be able to perform under pressure with the understanding of several deadlines
• Completing and submitting of annual tax returns
• Knowledge of E-Filing very important
• Ensure compliance of clients with SARS legislation
• Corresponding with SARS regarding tax matter
• Good people and communication skills

Desired Experience & Qualification

• At least 3 years' experience in an Accounting practice as a bookkeeper.
• Qualifications – Degree or diploma not a requirement but the level of experience will be the determining factor

Pay: R25 000,00 - R30 000,00 per month
