Junior Accountant

They are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join their Sydney-based finance team. Reporting into the Financial Controller and working alongside a small, close-knit accounting team, this role will suit someone who enjoys getting hands-on and wants to build broad, well-rounded accounting experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end Accounts Payable process
• Support the Accounts Receivable function as required, including invoicing and following up outstanding items
• Assist with month-end close processes, including accruals, prepayments, and inventory adjustments
• Accurate, timely data entry of financial transactions into the accounting system
• Assist the wider accounting team with day-to-day tasks
• Maintain accuracy and attention to detail across all transactional work
• Support the preparation of BAS
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting as guided by the finance team
• Support external audit requirements as needed

About You

• Minimum 1–2 years' experience in a finance related role
• Degree-qualified in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
• Solid understanding of core finance and accounting data entry principles
• Strong attention to detail
• Reliable, punctual, and a genuine team player
• Able to work independently once trained, while also being a willing, flexible learner
