What they need
- Accurately record daily General Ledger (GL) transactions for assigned agency entities. Maintain complete documentation for every entry to support clear financial management and audit trails.
- Regularly analyze GL accounts and schedules. Perform reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies promptly, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of all financial records.
- Assist in closing activities by finalizing pending entries, verifying account balances, and preparing necessary adjustments to ensure the agency meets its closing deadlines.
- Collect and organize financial data to help compile monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Assist in identifying key indicators that help management understand agency performance.
- Prepare supporting schedules and materials for audits. Coordinate with auditors by providing requested documentation and professionally addressing financial inquiries.
- Stay updated on current accounting standards and regulatory requirements. Review financial statements for compliance and suggest process updates to improve the overall quality of financial reporting.
