Junior Accountant

We are seeking a talented Jr. Accountant to join our dynamic team at Peterlabs Sdn Bhd in Nilai, Negeri Sembilan. As an Jr. Accountant, you will play a crucial role in our Financial Accounting & Reporting operations, ensuring accurate financial record-keeping and reporting to support the overall objectives of the business. This is a full-time position.

What you'll be doing

• Manage and overseas a full spectrum of finance functions, including group finance, credit control, treasury, accounts, budgeting/forecasting, taxation, insurance, legal, company secretarial management.
• Quarterly announcement and reporting to Bursa Malaysia.
• Supervise and monitor subordinate daily routine jobs.
• Liaise with tax agents, solicitors, bankers, auditors and others statutory bodies.
• Preparation of accurate and timely Management Reports and Financial Statements in accordance with statutory requirements.
• Ongoing review cost, proposal, evaluation of cost reduction opportunity.
• Support and manage internal and external audit requirement including ensuring timely resolution for audit findings and comments.
• Prepare monthly group consolidations and financial analysis.
• Ensure strict compliance of corporate governance and the implementation of internal control policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with accounting team to support various accounting activities and perform all other account and finance related tasks as requested by management.
• Identifying opportunities for process improvements and cost savings

What we're looking for

• A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

• At least 3-5 years of experience in a similar accounting role, preferably in the manufacturing or service industry and have experiences in Audit firm and a members of MIA.

  Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures

• Proficiency in financial reporting, budgeting, and financial analysis

• Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills

• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work accurately under pressure

• Familiarity with accounting software and Microsoft Office suite

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
