Junior Accountant

Role & responsibilities:

• Bookkeeping & Accounting: Maintain books of accounts (Cash, Petty Cash, Bank, Journals, Ledgers, Purchase/Sales Registers, Day Book, Trial Balance, P&L, and Balance Sheet) in Tally.
• Taxation & Compliance: Handle GST reconciliations (GSTR-1, 2A, 3B), file GST/TDS returns, and coordinate with auditors for annual filings (GST 9/9C, Income Tax).
• Payables & Receivables: Track invoices, manage accounts payable schedules for on-time payments, follow up on receivables, and prepare daily/monthly cash-flow reports.
• Reconciliations & Payroll: Perform monthly Bank Reconciliation Statements (BRS), calculate loan interest, and coordinate monthly payroll functions.
• Audit & Reporting: Finalize accounts and support statutory auditors during audits.

Requirements & Skills:

• Degree in Commerce/Finance with proven work experience as an Accountant.
• Strong practical knowledge of Tally (ERP 9 / Prime) and advanced MS Excel skills (Pivot tables, formulas).
• Solid understanding of statutory compliance (GST, TDS, IT) and general accounting rules.
• Attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and good analytical capability.

Preferred candidate profile:

• Mandatory Special Requirement: Must possess a valid driving license and own a Two-Wheeler (Bike/Scooter) for mandatory monthly local cash collection runs.(One or two times in a month).
