Junior Accountant

We are looking for a Junior Accountant to join our logistics company and handle day to day invoicing, accounts receivable, and customer payment follow-ups. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring invoices are prepared accurately and on time, outstanding payments are followed up, and customer accounts are properly maintained.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and issue invoices to customers for logistics, freight, transportation, and related services.
• Verify shipment, delivery, and service details before invoicing.
• Monitor customer accounts and outstanding receivables.
• Conduct regular dunning and payment follow ups for overdue invoices.
• Maintain accurate records of invoices, credit notes, receipts, and payments.
• Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies with customers and internal operations teams.
• Coordinate with the operations departments to ensure correct billing information.
• Prepare accounts receivable and overdue payment reports.
• Maintain proper documentation of customer accounts and payment correspondence.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Previous experience in accounting, invoicing, or accounts receivable is preferred.
• Experience in the logistics, freight forwarding, transportation, or shipping industry is an advantage.
• Good knowledge of MS Excel and accounting software.
• Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
• Good communication and customer follow-up skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle financial information responsibly.
