Junior Accountant

Role Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant to join our finance team. In this role, you will handle core accounting functions, including AR, AP, GL, while gaining valuable hands-on tax exposure.

Key tasks will include, but will not be limited to:

• Ensure timely and accurate financial accounting incl. AP, AR, IC invoicing, asset management and depreciation
• Perform regular bank reconciliations
• Prepare and post journal entries
• Assist with preparing month-end closings and all annual financials
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual tax filings
• Support the gathering of documentation for audits
• Contribute to initiatives and help drive all large improvement processes
• Financial system upgrades to follow McLarens group standard systems

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in auditing and/or accounting
• Thorough understanding of fundamental accounting principles and practices
• Knowledge of key internal control processes and the ability to identify control points within business processes.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
• The highest level of communication and interpersonal skills are required
• Fluency in English both written and verbal
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the use of formulas, functions, and data analysis tools to improve efficiency and accuracy

Educational Requirement:

• Tertiary education with formal qualification in accounting, finance or business, degree holder preferred but not essential

• Previous experience in SAP is a plus
