Junior Accountant

We are hiring for an international organisation with operations across multiple markets, currently seeking a Junior Accountant to join the finance team.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Within a finance and accounting environment, the role involves supporting day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accurate records, and contributing to reporting and closing activities.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing payments through online banking tools
• Recording and processing invoices
• Performing bank account reconciliations
• Reconciling customer and supplier account statements
• Monitoring petty cash balances and related reconciliations
• Reviewing and following up on employee expense claims
• Supporting period-end closing activities, including accruals, prepayments, and balance revaluations
• Assisting the team in meeting financial reporting deadlines
• Preparing and gathering supporting documentation required for external audits

CANDIDATE PROFILE

EXPERIENCE

Previous exposure (Internship or Apprenticeship) to accounting or finance functions would be beneficial.

Skills & Competencies

• Fluent in English, both written and spoken
• Good command of standard office and productivity tools
• Comfortable using digital systems and able to adapt quickly to new software and internal processes
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
• Organised, reliable, and proactive approach
• Knowledge of accounting or ERP systems is considered an asset

EDUCATION

• Studies or academic background in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
