Junior Accountant

Commercial Properties Management, LLC (CPM) is seeking a Junior Accountant to join our financial management team. This position provides financial management and accounting support for multiple portfolios and plays an important role in maintaining accurate financial records, reporting, and client service.

We are looking for a detail-oriented, organized professional who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and takes pride in accuracy and delivering high-quality work.

Essential Functions

Create, maintain and reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions

Support Financial Management team with vital system maintenance (vendor master, GL chart of accounts, AP workflows/user updates)

Enter financial data from various source documents into accounting systems, including MRI and AvidXchange

Manage accounts payable bi-weekly check runs and daily invoice indexing.

Reconcile monthly bank statements and various balance sheet accounts

Assist in operating and capital budgets preparation

Prepare customized financial statements and management reports

Assist Financial Management team as needed

Skills and Attributes

Strong understanding of and adherence to generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)

Qualifications

Associate degree in accounting or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, with strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel

Commercial real estate or property management accounting experience is a plus
