POSITION INFO: Our client operates within the travel and tourism space and is continuing to expand across multiple markets. They are looking to add a Junior Accountant to their finance team someone who is comfortable getting involved, enjoys learning and isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves when something needs to be solved. This is a fully remote position for a Gauteng-based candidate , offering exposure to a fast-moving environment where you can build on your accounting foundation while gaining experience across different entities and potentially multiple currencies. Key Responsibilities Take ownership of day-to-day bookkeeping activities through to balance sheet level. Handle transaction processing, account reconciliations and investigation of discrepancies. Support the month-end process, financial reporting and preparation of finance-related information. Maintain accurate accounting records across multiple entities. Assist with both accounts payable and receivable functions as required. Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, reporting and overall efficiency. Minimum Requirements BCom degree is essential. 1-3 years' relevant accounting experience. Strong grounding in accounting principles and financial processes. Experience with MS Excel and an accounting package such as Sage, Pastel, QuickBooks or Xero. Exposure to Travel & Tourism, DMC, Hospitality or Property would be advantageous. Multi-entity or multi-currency accounting experience will be beneficial.
