Job Description – Junior Accountant

Key Responsibilities

• Record daily accounting transactions, including sales, purchases, receipts and payments.
• Maintain Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable records.
• Prepare and process supplier invoices, customer invoices, credit notes and debit notes.
• Perform regular bank reconciliations and maintain accurate cash and bank records.
• Assist with recording and monitoring import, export and international trading transactions.
• Maintain proper accounting records for suppliers, customers and trading transactions.
• Assist in monitoring customer outstanding balances and supplier payments.
• Follow up on supporting documents such as invoices, delivery documents, purchase orders and payment documents.
• Perform monthly closing of books, including completion of reconciliations, posting of necessary adjustments and ensuring all transactions for the month are properly recorded.
• Maintain proper filing of accounting and trade-related documents for audit and compliance purposes.
• Assist during annual audit and provide supporting schedules and documents as required.
• Assist in maintaining inventory and stock-related accounting records, where applicable.
• Ensure accounting entries are accurate, complete and properly supported by documentation.
• Coordinate with the Logistics Team for supplier payment reconciliation and verification, including matching supplier invoices with purchase orders, shipping documents and other relevant supporting documents.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related field.
• 1–2 years of UAE accounting experience preferred.
• Basic understanding of UAE VAT and accounting principles.
• Good knowledge of MS Excel.
• Experience with accounting software Tally.
• Good numerical and analytical skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Preferred Experience

Experience in a trading company, particularly involving import, export, international or third-country transactions, will be an advantage.

Job Location: Dubai Job Type: Full-Time Nationality: Indi an Language required: Proficient in English and Hindi. 5 days working, Monday to Friday.

Pay: AED3,500.00 - AED4,500.00 per month
