Junior Accountant

TMC Group is currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Junior Accountant to join our Finance & Accounting Team at our Head Office in Umm Al Quwain, UAE.

The ideal candidate must have 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience, with a mandatory background in the UAE construction or contracting industry. The successful applicant will be responsible for supporting daily accounting operations, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable financial regulations.

Key Responsibilities

· Prepare and process payments, including cheques, bank transfers, and other financial transactions.

· Manage invoicing activities, including invoice preparation, issuance, monitoring, and follow-up.

· Maintain accurate accounting records, financial statements, and reports.

· Handle accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) transactions.

· Perform daily bank reconciliations, monitor transactions, and prepare daily cash balance reports.

· Manage petty cash transactions, reimbursements, and supporting documentation.

· Record, monitor, and reconcile intercompany transactions.

· Assist in payroll processing, supplier payments, and employee-related financial transactions.

· Support month-end and year-end closing activities.

· Assist with VAT documentation, tax filings, financial audits, and regulatory compliance.

· Maintain proper filing, documentation, and retention of accounting records.

· Coordinate with project teams, procurement, and other departments regarding project-related expenses, supplier invoices, and payment documentation.

Qualifications & Requirements

· Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

· Minimum 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience in the UAE.

· Previous accounting experience in the construction or contracting industry is STRICTLY REQUIRED.

· Familiarity with construction-related accounting, project expenses, subcontractor payments, supplier invoices, and cost tracking.

· Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, bank reconciliations, and UAE VAT regulations.

· Proficiency in accounting software; knowledge of ERP and Tally is preferred.

· Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.

· Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.

· Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities.

· Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and coordinate effectively with different departments.
