About the role
A detail-oriented Junior Accountant to support the day-to-day accounting, tax compliance and reporting. The role focuses on BIR requirements and offers opportunity to grow an accounting career.
Key responsibilities
Prepare and file BIR returns on time, including VAT/percentage tax (2550Q, 2551Q), withholding taxes (1601-C, 1601-EQ, 0619-E) and income tax returns (1701Q/1702Q, 1702-RT)
Prepare BIR forms 2307 and 2316, alphalists and other required attachments
Record transactions, prepare journal entries and maintain the books of accounts
Keep supporting documents organized and audit-ready
Help coordinate with the BIR and handle other government compliance requirements as needed
About you
- Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or a related field
- At least 1 year of accounting experience. Fresh graduates with strong BIR knowledge are welcome to apply
- Familiar with BIR compliance, eFPS/eBIRForms and current Philippine tax laws, including the TRAIN Law, CREATE Act and Ease of Paying Taxes (EOPT) Act
- Proficient in MS Excel. Knowledge of accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) is a plus
- Organized, accurate and able to meet filing deadlines
