Position Overview

Mindwhiz is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have 3–4 years of accounting experience and a strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and bookkeeping practices. Candidates enrolled in CA or ACCA programs are highly encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

• Record, verify, and maintain daily financial transactions.
• Prepare and process journal entries, invoices, payments, and receipts.
• Perform bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Maintain general ledger accounts and ensure accurate bookkeeping.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
• Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes.
• Prepare financial reports, schedules, and supporting documentation.
• Assist in payroll-related accounting entries and reconciliations.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Assist with internal and external audits by providing required financial records and documentation.
• Maintain organized accounting files and records for future references.
• Coordinate with internal departments regarding financial and accounting matters.
• Perform other accounting and finance-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
• 3–4 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Must be currently enrolled in CA or ACCA.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and bookkeeping practices.
• Experience with bank reconciliations, ledger management, and financial record keeping.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of Pakistani taxation and statutory compliance requirements.
• Experience working with ERP or accounting management systems.
• Familiarity with payroll processing and financial reporting.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
