Junior Accountant

Dreamland Adventure Tourism is looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing daily accounting activities related to tourism operations, including tour bookings, customer payments, supplier invoices, and financial reporting.

We are seeking a candidate with good accounting knowledge who can support the smooth financial operations of our tourism business.

Key Responsibilities

• Record and maintain daily financial transactions related to tours, excursions, and tourism activities.
• Handle accounting for desert safari bookings, city tours, adventure activities, and other tourism services.
• Prepare customer invoices, receipts, payment vouchers, and booking-related financial records.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Reconcile daily booking payments received through cash, bank transfers, payment links, and card transactions.
• Maintain accurate records of payments received from travel agencies, tour operators, and direct customers.
• Track outstanding payments and follow up with travel agents and corporate clients.
• Verify supplier invoices and process payments to transport providers, tour guides, camps, and activity operators.
• Prepare daily sales reports, expense reports, and payment collection summaries.
• Reconcile bank statements, cash balances, and accounting records.
• Maintain supplier statements and perform regular reconciliations.
• Assist with VAT calculations, documentation, and filing as per UAE regulations.
• Support month-end closing and preparation of financial reports.
• Coordinate with reservations, sales, and operations teams to ensure accurate booking and payment records.
• Maintain proper financial documentation and ensure accuracy in accounting transactions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 0–2 years of accounting experience preferred.
• Previous accounting experience in a tourism, travel agency, or tour operator company is an advantage.
• Good understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Office.
• Knowledge of Tally, QuickBooks, Zoho Books, or similar accounting software.
• Basic knowledge of UAE VAT regulations.
• Ability to handle multiple booking transactions and daily payment reconciliations.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Good English communication skills.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with reservations, sales, and operations teams.
