Junior Accountant

Role Description The Junior Accountant will support day-to-day financial operations, including recording transactions, maintaining ledgers, and assisting with accounts payable and receivable. Responsibilities include preparing basic financial reports, reconciling bank statements, monitoring expenses, and ensuring accurate documentation of sales and inventory related to jewelry operations. The role will also assist in compliance activities, such as supporting tax and audit preparation, and coordinating with senior finance team members to improve accounting processes. This is a full-time, on-site role based in New Delhi, requiring close collaboration with the finance and operations teams.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess foundational accounting skills, including general ledger maintenance, journal entry posting, and basic financial reporting.
• Candidates should possess skills in accounts payable and receivable, invoice processing, and reconciliation of statements.
• Candidates should possess proficiency with accounting software and tools (such as Tally, QuickBooks, or similar platforms), along with strong spreadsheet skills using Excel.
• Candidates should possess analytical and numerical skills, with attention to detail, accuracy in data entry, and ability to identify discrepancies.
• Candidates should possess organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks, prioritize work, and meet deadlines reliably.
• Candidates should possess clear written and verbal communication skills to coordinate with internal teams and external partners in a professional manner.
• Relevant educational background such as a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or an equivalent field is preferred.
• Prior internship or entry-level experience in accounting, retail, or jewelry/ luxury goods will be considered an advantage.
• Ability to work ethically, maintain confidentiality of financial information, and adapt to a detail-driven, fast-paced environment is essential.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
