Junior Accountant (Hinterland)

Hinterland, a leading agricultural retail business and a subsidiary of Senwes, serves farmers, businesses and communities across South Africa by providing a comprehensive range of agricultural products, services and solutions. Hinterland is seeking a Junior Accountant to join its team. The successful candidate will support accurate financial reporting, reconciliations and accounting processes across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review expenses, investigate variances and ensure accurate cost allocations.
• Prepare and process journals, reconciliations and month-end transactions.
• Verify supplier payments for accuracy and compliance.
• Generate financial reports and provide financial information to stakeholders.
• Respond to financial queries from departments and management.
• Assist with year-end financial statements and audit queries.
• Assist with the preparation of the annual integrated report.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Relevant BCom degree with completed articles.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant accounting experience post-articles
