Junior Accounting / Finance Staff

About the role

Junior Accounting / Finance Staff position in the Finance and Accounting department, reporting to the Accounting or Finance Manager. This role involves supporting the finance team with bookkeeping, accounts management, reconciliations, and financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Post and process journal entries to record daily business transactions
• Update accounts receivable, issue client invoices, process vendor bills, and handle expense reports
• Perform bank reconciliations and match ledger accounts to resolve discrepancies
• Liaise with internal departments regarding invoice status, expense clarifications, and documentation requirements
• Communicate professionally via email and phone with vendors and clients to resolve billing queries
• Assist the finance team with month-end and year-end financial closings and report preparations
• Gather documents and support internal or external audit requests
• Keep financial databases and filing systems accurate and up to date

About you

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (or currently in progress)
• 0 to 2 years of relevant accounting experience or internships
• Excellent spoken and written English communication skills for professional reporting and business correspondence
• Basic familiarity with accounting software such as Excel, Oracle, SAP, or SME accounting software
• Strong attention to detail, good numerical aptitude, and willingness to learn
