About the Role

We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accounts Assistant to join their growing finance team.

This is an excellent entry-level opportunity with full training provided , making it ideal for graduates, AAT students, administrators, customer service professionals, and individuals looking to begin a rewarding career in finance and accounting.

Working alongside experienced finance professionals, you will support a variety of accounting and administrative tasks while developing practical knowledge of financial processes and business operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with processing purchase and sales invoices.
• Support Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable activities.
• Reconcile supplier statements and customer accounts.
• Process expenses and maintain accurate financial records.
• Prepare payment runs and assist with bank reconciliations.
• Update accounting systems and digital records.
• Assist with month-end finance administration.
• Maintain confidential financial documentation.
• Provide general administrative support to the finance team.

Skills & Experience

• Interest in finance, accounting, or business administration.
• Good numerical and analytical skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Confident using Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Previous administration, customer service, retail, hospitality, or finance experience is beneficial.
• Studying towards AAT or an accounting qualification is advantageous but not essential .
• No previous finance experience required – full training provided.
