Job Summary

Universal Education is looking for a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Junior Accounts Executive to join its Head Office in Malad, Mumbai. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of accounting principles, taxation, statutory compliance, and financial reporting, along with hands-on experience in Tally Prime and Advanced Excel.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements and balance sheets for Private Limited Companies and Limited Liability Partnerships (LLPs).
• Compute total taxable income for corporates, LLPs, partnership firms, and individuals.
• Handle TDS deductions, calculations, reconciliations, and timely filing of TDS returns.
• Manage Goods and Services Tax (GST) compliance, including calculations, reconciliations, and return filing.
• Calculate Professional Tax and ensure timely filing of applicable returns.
• Maintain accurate accounting records and perform bookkeeping using Tally Prime.
• Prepare and maintain financial reports, ledgers, vouchers, and account reconciliations.
• Prepare MIS reports and financial summaries for senior management.
• Use Advanced Excel functions, including VLOOKUP, SUMIF, Pivot Tables, and other relevant formulas, for data analysis and reporting.
• Ensure accuracy in financial documentation and compliance with applicable statutory requirements.

Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com) or an equivalent qualification.
• Relevant experience in accounting, taxation, and bookkeeping.
• Hands-on knowledge of Tally Prime.
• Good understanding of TDS, GST, Professional Tax, and statutory compliance.
• Proficiency in Advanced Excel, including VLOOKUP, SUMIF, and Pivot Tables.
• Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
• Good attention to detail, organisational skills, and the ability to meet deadlines.
