What they need

Imagineeer is a fast-growing SBA 8(a) Small Disadvantaged Business headquartered in Arlington, VA, delivering federal AI modernization across health, defense, homeland security, and transportation. We design, test, and deploy secure, AI-ready systems that move agencies from pilots to production without breaking governance, compliance, or mission continuity. Our Mission Studio model creates shared environments where policy, data, security, and operations come together. We are capability-driven and competitive by design, not program-dependent. Our leadership has operated inside the federal systems we now transform, bringing institutional knowledge that accelerates delivery and reduces risk. If real delivery motivates you more than slides, and you want your work to compound across programs and agencies, Imagineeer is growing and we are building the team to match.

About the role

Imagineeer is seeking a Junior Acquisition Subject Matter Expert to support process, policy, and data analysis on an acquisition transformation engagement for a federal civilian department. You will work directly with a former federal Contracting Officer and lead data-remediation analysis for the pilot. • Perform process analysis and document acquisition workflows.
  • Lead data-remediation analysis for pilot readiness.
  • Document AI-enabled tool capabilities and behavior.
  • Support redundancy, gap, and market research analyses.
  • Support acquisition data standardization analysis for future dashboards and automated reporting.
  • Work with AMS/PRISM, the client's contract writing and acquisition management environment
  • Acquisition systems of record: FPDS-NG, SAM.gov, and CPARS
  • Acquisition reporting: the Service Contract Inventory and FAIR Act Inventory

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, public administration, or a related field.
  • 3 or more years of federal acquisition, contract specialist, or business analyst experience.
  • Working knowledge of the FAR and acquisition documentation.
  • Strong data analysis skills, including Excel and data quality review.
  • Ability to pass the client's contractor security vetting and obtain and maintain a PIV credential.

Desired Skills and Competencies:

  • FAC-C Foundational (or legacy Level I) certification or progress toward it.

  • Experience with contract writing or reporting systems.

  • Experience cleaning or migrating acquisition data.
