The Company

Robert Half is partnering with a well-established IT Services business. A certified Microsoft partner with a loyal client base, they've built their reputation on quality delivery and long-term customer relationships. They're now growing their engineering team and investing heavily in AI and agentic development practices, making this a genuinely modern environment for an early-career developer to build their foundations in.

The Role

This is the next generation of developer role. You'll act as the broker between the customer and the AI, combining solid software engineering skills with strong communication to turn customer needs into working solutions. Day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Getting into the customer's world: gathering requirements, identifying what can be done and agreeing on the approach
• Using AI tools and coding agents daily to deliver modifications and enhancements to existing customer systems
• Critically reviewing, validating and amending all AI-generated code before it ships, and understanding what the AI is doing and why
• Managing customer expectations and stakeholders, keeping customers informed and confident throughout delivery
• Working within a supportive team and being proactive in learning new technologies and solutions

About you

• A degree in software development with strong personal project experience, or 1-2 years' commercial experience as a developer
• Technologies that you would ideally be familiar with are:
  • NET
  • C#
  • SQL Server
  • Azure
  • Python
  • Angular
• Genuine interest in AI-assisted development - comfortable using AI tools to write code, and critical enough to review and question the output
• Be a pro-active person who is a team player and is eager to learn
