Junior Analyst - FDA DASH Regulatory Data / Database Curation

Location:  Primarily Remote - occasional onsite work in Silver Spring, MD / Washington, DC area

Duration:  12 Months - contingent upon contract award

Pay Rate:   $44.27-$46.15/hour

Start Date:  Upon contract award and completion of FDA security requirements

Position Summary

SMX Services & Consulting is seeking a  Junior Analyst  to support the FDA’s  DASH Knowledge Management program .

The position focuses on reviewing FDA and pharmaceutical regulatory documents, extracting important information, entering and maintaining data in the DASH database, and ensuring data is  accurate, complete, and consistent .

Key Responsibilities

• Review FDA and pharmaceutical regulatory documents.
• Extract and enter regulatory and scientific data into the DASH database.
• Standardize and validate data according to FDA procedures.
• Perform data quality and QA/QC reviews.
• Use Excel and database applications to manage and verify information.
• Identify missing, inconsistent, or questionable data and escalate issues when needed.
• Follow DASH procedures, SOPs, data definitions, and business rules.
• Maintain database and project documentation.
• Assist with updates to SOPs, user guides, and data definitions.
• Work with FDA subject-matter experts, technical teams, and contractors.
• Protect confidential and sensitive FDA information.

Required Qualifications

• U.S. Citizen
• Bachelor’s degree (BA or BS).
• 2+ years of professional experience.
• Experience with  data analysis and data standardization .
• Experience with  Microsoft Excel and/or database software .
• Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
• Ability to review and interpret technical or scientific information.
• Ability to follow established procedures and data standards.
• Must be able to meet FDA security requirements.

Preferred Experience

Candidates with any of the following experience are strongly preferred:

• FDA or other government experience.
• FDA  CDER new drug review process .
• Regulatory or pharmaceutical documentation.
• IND, NDA, BLA, or efficacy supplement  documentation.
• Pharmaceutical, biomedical, clinical trial, or regulatory science experience.
• Life sciences or statistical background.
• Regulatory data collection, analysis, or quality assurance.
• Experience with FDA systems.

Highly Preferred

Previous FDA DASH experience , particularly with:

• DASH database data entry and curation.
• DASH QA/QC procedures.
• DASH SOPs and data standards.
• Regulatory document review.

Security Requirements

Candidates must be able to complete  NACI and Level 5 Public Trust processing , fingerprinting, FDA security/privacy training, and required confidentiality agreements.

Pay Rate: $44.27-$46.15/hour
