Junior Application Support

About the role

We are looking for a Junior to Mid-level Application Support Analyst to support business-critical banking applications within an international financial services environment. In this role, you will provide L1/L2 application support, investigate production incidents, and work closely with business users, technical teams, infrastructure teams, and external partners to ensure applications remain stable and reliable.

Key responsibilities

• Provide L1/L2 application support for banking applications and services
• Monitor applications and investigate production incidents
• Troubleshoot issues using UNIX/Linux commands, application logs, and SQL queries
• Coordinate incident resolution with business users, development, infrastructure teams, and external vendors
• Follow incidents through to resolution while respecting agreed SLAs
• Perform root-cause analysis and contribute to preventing recurring incidents
• Support daily operational activities and application health checks
• Maintain accurate incident records, technical documentation, and operational procedures
• Communicate clearly with local and international stakeholders in English
• Support continuous improvement of application support and operational processes

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
• 1–4 years of professional experience in Application Support, Production Support, or a similar role
• Previous experience in Banking or Financial Services is mandatory
• Good practical knowledge of UNIX/Linux
• Good knowledge of SQL for investigation and data verification
• Understanding of application support, incident management, and production environments
• Strong service-oriented mindset and ability to support business users
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Detail-oriented, structured, and reliable
• Professional working proficiency in English
