Junior Architect

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Architectural Drawings & Design
• Assist in preparing architectural plans, details, elevations, sections, and layouts.
• Prepare and revise drawings using AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or other relevant software.
• Assist in developing design concepts and presentation materials.
• Ensure drawings are accurate and consistent with approved plans.
• Site Coordination
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor architectural works.
• Coordinate with the Project Manager, engineers, foremen, subcontractors, and other site personnel.
• Check actual site conditions against approved architectural drawings.
• Identify discrepancies and report them to the Senior Architect or Project Manager.
• Construction Documentation
• Assist in preparing shop drawings, as-built drawings, material submittals, and other architectural documents.
• Maintain and organize the latest revisions of drawings and documents.
• Assist in preparing requests for information (RFI), technical reports, and other project correspondence.
• Quality Control
• Monitor architectural works to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and approved materials.
• Assist in checking workmanship, finishes, dimensions, and installation.
• Report defective or non-conforming work to the appropriate personnel.
• Coordination & Communication
• Coordinate architectural requirements with structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and other disciplines.
• Attend project meetings when required.
• Communicate design changes and technical instructions to concerned personnel.
• Materials & Specifications
• Assist in reviewing architectural materials and finishes.
• Check material samples and submittals against project specifications.
• Assist in monitoring the proper use and installation of approved materials.
• Project Support
• Assist in quantity take-offs and preparation of estimates when required.
• Assist in monitoring project schedules related to architectural works.
• Perform other architectural and project-related duties assigned by the Senior Architect or Project Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Architecture.
• Preferably licensed or registered, depending on the requirements of the position and applicable regulations.
• With 1–3 years of relevant experience in construction, architectural design, or project site work is preferred.
• Knowledgeable in AutoCAD; proficiency in Revit, SketchUp, Lumion, or other design software is an advantage.
• Knowledge of architectural drawings, construction methods, materials, and specifications.
• Willing to conduct site visits and work at project sites.
• Good communication, coordination, and organizational skills.
• Can work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
• Detail-oriented and able to work with minimal supervision.
