Junior Architect

Job Objective

The Junior Architect assists in developing innovative, functional, safe, and aesthetically pleasing architectural designs for construction projects. The role involves design development, preparation and checking of plans, coordination with construction professionals, and monitoring design project progress while ensuring compliance with building codes and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in managing architectural projects from initial design through final construction documents.
• Lead and coordinate draftsmen in preparing preliminary and final design drawings.
• Gather client requirements and prepare feasibility reports and design proposals.
• Develop architectural concepts based on client needs, building functionality, budget, and project requirements.
• Review plans and drawings and make necessary corrections.
• Ensure designs comply with building codes, regulations, guidelines, and applicable standards.
• Conduct site visits to gather information and verify design requirements.
• Coordinate with engineers, quantity surveyors, contractors, and other construction professionals.
• Assist the Design Supervisor in planning team activities and reviewing project proposals.
• Monitor design development progress and organize project accomplishments.
• Prepare presentation drawings and construction documents for review and approval.
• Keep updated on architectural trends, technologies, and industry advancements.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Architecture.
• With at least 1–2 years of relevant work experience in architectural design and drafting.
• Knowledgeable in architectural plans, construction documents, and applicable building codes.
• Proficient in relevant architectural design and drafting software.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of coordinating with a multidisciplinary team.
• Willing to take on the position and commit to the responsibilities of the role; this is not an apprenticeship opportunity.
• Willing to work on-site in San Mateo, Rizal.
