Junior Architect

1. Design and Planning

• Assist senior architects in preparing architectural designs for residential and commercial projects.
• Prepare floor plans, elevations, sections, and 2D/3D drawings.
• Develop space planning and layouts according to client requirements and project specifications.
• Make design modifications based on feedback from clients, senior architects, or management.

2. Architectural Drawings and Documentation

• Prepare detailed architectural drawings using AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or similar software.
• Develop working drawings required for construction and execution.
• Maintain updated drawings, design documents, and project records.
• Assist in preparing layouts, area statements, and other project documentation.

3. Site Visits and Coordination

• Visit construction sites to understand site conditions and verify measurements.
• Coordinate with site engineers and civil engineers to ensure construction follows the approved architectural drawings.
• Identify design discrepancies at the site and report them to senior architects.
• Assist in resolving design-related issues during construction.

4. Building Regulations and Compliance

• Assist in ensuring designs comply with applicable building regulations, local development rules, and safety requirements.
• Help prepare drawings and documents required for building approvals and permissions.
• Coordinate with relevant teams to incorporate regulatory requirements into project designs.

5. Material and Design Selection

• Assist in selecting suitable building materials, finishes, fixtures, and other architectural elements.
• Support the preparation of material specifications and schedules.
• Suggest practical and cost-effective design solutions without compromising functionality or quality.

6. Team and Project Coordination

• Work closely with architects, civil engineers, contractors, and project managers.
• Incorporate feedback from different teams into architectural plans.
• Help ensure that design deliverables are completed within project timelines.
• Support senior architects throughout the planning, design, and construction stages.

Skills Required

• AutoCAD
• Revit or SketchUp
• Basic knowledge of architectural design and construction drawings
• Understanding of building materials and construction methods
• Knowledge of floor plans, elevations, and sections
• Basic understanding of building regulations and approval processes
• Site measurement and coordination skills
