Position Summary:

The Junior Art Director is responsible for leading the visual execution of creative projects by translating the Art Director's creative direction into high-quality, production-ready outputs. This role oversees Multimedia Artists within the assigned Business Unit, ensuring that all creative deliverables meet the department's visual, technical, and execution standards.

The Junior Art Director works closely with the Art Director, Associate Creative Director, Creative Lead, Senior Creative Lead, Accounts team, and Production team to ensure projects are executed accurately, consistently, and within agreed timelines while maintaining the highest level of creative quality.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and guide Multimedia Artists within the assigned Business Unit, ensuring creative outputs accurately interpret the Art Director's approved visual direction.
  • Translate creative concepts, execution instructions, and design standards into clear guidance for Multimedia Artists throughout project execution.
  • Review and refine creative deliverables—including layouts, key visuals, presentations, animations, renders, mockups, and production artwork—before endorsement to the Art Director for final approval.
  • Develop and review 3D event perspectives, venue layouts, and rendered visualizations using SketchUp and Lumion to effectively communicate design concepts to internal teams and clients.
  • Identify design inconsistencies, technical issues, and execution gaps, providing timely feedback and creative direction to improve output quality and reduce revisions.
  • Coordinate with the Art Director, Creative Leads, and Senior Creative Lead whenever conceptual clarifications are required to ensure accurate execution of creative deliverables.
  • Ensure all creative files are properly organized, production-ready, and compliant with company quality standards before endorsement to Production.
  • Mentor and coach Multimedia Artists by providing regular feedback, technical guidance, and support for their creative and professional development.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, design techniques, software advancements, and emerging technologies to continuously elevate the Business Unit's creative output.

Technical Skills:

  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
  • Proficient in SketchUp and Lumion for creating event perspectives, 3D visualizations, and presentation-ready renders.
  • Strong understanding of typography, layout design, composition, color theory, branding, and visual hierarchy.
  • Experience preparing production-ready artwork for print, digital, and event applications.

Other Skills:

  • Strong understanding of event branding, environmental graphics, fabrication requirements, and large-format print production.
  • Strong visual design and art direction skills with a keen eye for detail and creative excellence.
  • Excellent leadership and mentoring abilities to guide Multimedia Artists and maintain consistent quality across creative outputs.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills when working with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities to resolve creative and execution challenges efficiently.
  • Ability to receive and provide constructive feedback while maintaining a collaborative and positive work environment.
  • Adaptable and proactive, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven creative environment.

Other Requirements:

  • A college degree in Multimedia Arts, Fine Arts, Advertising, Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field.
  • At least (3) years of professional experience in graphic design, multimedia design, branding, advertising, or event agencies.
  • Previous experience leading or mentoring designers or multimedia artists is an advantage.
  • A strong portfolio showcasing branding, campaign design, event creatives, presentation design, and marketing materials.
  • Comfortable working with multiple stakeholders and managing simultaneous creative projects.
  • Comfortable with a hybrid work setup (work-from-home and on-site in Sampaloc, Manila).
