Junior Associate Lawyer

About the role

We are looking for a motivated, detail-oriented, and highly capable Junior Associate Lawyer to join our team. The successful candidate will provide legal support across various practice areas (civil, criminal, corporate, admin, labor and tax law) while working closely with senior lawyers and partners in handling litigation, transactions, legal research, and client matters.

Key responsibilities

• Preparing and drafting legal documents, including pleadings, court submissions, contracts, legal opinions, and other commercial or legal documents
• Conducting comprehensive legal research and analysis and providing consultations, opinions, and legal advice based on applicable laws, jurisprudence, and other legal authorities
• Assisting in the preparation, organization, and management of case files and transactional documents
• Maintaining and monitoring schedules for hearings, court appearances, conferences, filings, and other case-related requirements
• Representing clients and appearing before courts, government offices, administrative agencies, and quasi-judicial bodies, both within and outside Metro Manila
• Attending client meetings and assisting in negotiations and other legal proceedings when required
• Analyzing complex legal and regulatory issues and contributing to the development of litigation and transactional strategies
• Coordinating with senior lawyers, partners, clients, and internal teams to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of legal services
• Assisting in the firm's legal aid initiatives and other assigned projects
• Performing other duties necessary for the effective handling of cases and legal matters

About you

• Must be a member of the Philippine Bar in good standing
• At least one (1) year of litigation experience is preferred
• Fresh Bar passers with strong internship, clerkship, or relevant legal experience are welcome to apply
• Excellent legal research and legal writing skills
• Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Keen attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple cases, tasks, and deadlines efficiently
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while also functioning effectively as part of a team
• Willingness to travel within and outside Metro Manila for hearings, filings, meetings, and other case-related requirements
