JUNIOR AUDITOR

About the role

This position serves as the foundation for building audit competency, developing analytical and professional judgment skills, and gaining full understanding of bank operations, policies, and risk controls. The role is field-based, requiring regular travel to branches and business line units for on-site testing and audit activities.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct independent testing of audit scope based on audit programs and apply audit methodologies (compliance, substantive or analysis)
• Carry out defined audit procedures including observation, analysis, inspection, and confirmation
• Select and apply appropriate tools and techniques to information gathering and analysis
• Assist in performing data analytics procedures using available systems and tools (Excel, dashboards)
• Ensure proper handling, backup and confidentiality of digital audit data
• Collate evidence and develop working papers that reflect all activities performed during audit engagements
• Prepare preliminary audit reports in audit notes including key observations, conditions, cause and recommendations
• Support the Internal Audit Department's strategic objectives by ensuring quality, completeness, and accuracy of assigned engagements
• Contribute to the achievement of the Annual Audit Plan by efficiently delivering assigned audit tasks on schedule
• Promote continuous improvement of audit tools, templates, and procedures

About you

• Graduate of a four (4) year course preferably in business (accounting or finance)
• Preferably with 1 year experience in any field
