Junior BA/ BA - Accounting background

Key Responsibilities

1. Payment & Process Transformation

• Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements (BRDs / FRDs) for payment operations, automated clearing, treasury workflows, and bank integration streams.
• Map current-state ("As-Is") and future-state ("To-Be") payment processing, settlement, and GL posting workflows.
• Support the rollout of modern payment rails, gateway integrations, and payment automation software across global or regional entities.

2. Financial Systems & Accounting Integration

• Analyze accounting impacts of payment transactions (e.g., revenue recognition, accounts payable/receivable, FX gain/loss, cash application, and GL mapping).
• Collaborate with technical leads to configure, test, and troubleshoot interfaces between payment hubs/gateways and core enterprise systems (e.g., Oracle Financials, SAP S/4HANA, Workday Financial Management, or NetSuite).
• Ensure strict compliance with internal financial controls, auditability, SOX guidelines, and payment industry standards (e.g., ISO 20022, PCI-DSS).

3. Testing & Implementation

• Develop end-to-end user acceptance testing (UAT) scripts covering complex financial scenarios, edge cases, and exception handling.
• Coordinate cross-functional UAT execution with Finance, Accounting, Treasury, and Tech teams.
• Assist in user training, change management documentation, and post-go-live hypercare support.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related discipline.

• Experience:

  • Junior BA: Up to 2 years of experience in business analysis, financial systems implementation, or financial audit/advisory.
  • BA: 2+ years of relevant experience in financial business analysis or tech-enabled finance transformation.
  • Big 4 / Consulting: Open to candidates from Big 4 or consulting backgrounds with demonstrated exposure to finance transformation, ERP implementations, or systems audit projects.

• Domain Knowledge: Solid grasp of core accounting principles (A/P, A/R, General Ledger, Double-Entry Bookkeeping, Financial Reconciliation, FX accounting).
