Job Title: Junior Baker – Bakery
Department: Kitchen / Production
Reports To: Head Chef
Working Hours: 5:30 AM – 2:30 PM (subject to shift scheduling)

Role Overview

The Baker is responsible for executing daily bakery production, supporting the Head Chef in prep, baking, and maintaining kitchen standards. This is a hands-on role requiring consistency, speed, and strong attention to detail to ensure all products meet quality and production expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute daily prep work (weighing, mixing, portioning ingredients)
• Prepare and handle doughs, fillings, creams, and baked components
• Carry out baking and assembly of pastries, breads, and menu items
• Ensure all products meet recipe specifications and quality standards
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen at all times
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation guidelines
• Manage stock rotation (FIFO) and support inventory checks
• Receive and store deliveries properly
• Handle kitchen equipment safely and report any issues
• Minimise wastage and support cost control

Requirements

• Able to start early (5:30 AM shifts)
• Prior experience in bakery or kitchen production required
• Able to work in a fast-paced, production-driven environment
• Good teamwork and communication skills
