Junior Buyer

Sealed Air Philippines is looking for a Junior Buyer to join our Supply Chain team. In this role, you will support end-to-end indirect procurement activities across multiple sites, working closely with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and contractors to ensure efficient sourcing, purchasing, and supply continuity.

What You'll Do

Procurement & Purchasing Operations

• Manage Purchase Requisitions (PRs) by assisting departments with creation, validation, and processing.
• Prepare, validate, and issue approved Purchase Orders (POs), serving as a key contact for supplier communications.
• Monitor open orders, track deliveries, and maintain accurate supplier records to ensure on-time fulfillment.

Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Management

• Conduct market research, supplier canvassing, price benchmarking, and site inspections to identify cost-effective sourcing solutions.
• Negotiate pricing and support the development of alternative supplier channels for critical or hard-to-source items.
• Assist with supplier onboarding, vendor audits, and supplier performance evaluations.

Contract & Risk Management

• Support contract reviews and renewals, including negotiations on pricing, payment terms, volume discounts, and service level agreements (SLAs).
• Drive dual-sourcing initiatives for critical and single-source items to strengthen business continuity and reduce supply risk.
• Maintain vendor agreements and monitor contract expiry dates, warranties, and renewal requirements.

Systems, Compliance & Financial Support

• Validate supplier invoices against Purchase Orders and delivery documentation to support timely payment processing.
• Manage SAP and ISAIAS Vendor Master Data, including vendor and item code setup, audits, and record maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies and support internal and external audit readiness through accurate documentation and recordkeeping.

Logistics & Business Support

• Coordinate inter-site logistics, including the movement of documents, materials, and supplies between locations.
• Receive and record indirect procurement deliveries, including capitalized and expense-related purchases.
• Partner with stakeholders during annual budgeting cycles to support CAPEX procurement planning and forecasting.
• Provide additional procurement and operational support as required.

What We're Looking For

• Diploma/Bachelor's degree in any relevant discipline, 2-3 years experience in Procurement particularly indirect purchase a plus.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving abilities.
• High level of integrity and professionalism.
