Junior Buyer

Junior Buyer — K&K Distributors
Location: Mililani, Oahu, Hawaii

K&K Distributors is seeking an organized, detail-oriented Junior Buyer to support purchasing and inventory management for our candy, confectionery, and grocery lines. This position works closely with our buying team, vendors, warehouse, and sales staff to keep products in stock and orders moving on schedule.

What You’ll Do

• Review daily inventory, receiving, and lost sales reports to identify stock shortages and receiving discrepancies.
• Follow up with vendors for order confirmations, product availability, and estimated shipping dates.
• Track open purchase orders and coordinate with vendors and freight forwarders to monitor deliveries and communicate delays.
• Maintain accurate vendor information, item details, purchasing notes, and order status records.
• Assist with promotional and seasonal planning by updating calendars and trackers and following up on order deadlines.
• Review purchase orders, invoices, and freight paperwork for accuracy.
• Submit vendor claims and credits.

What We’re Looking For

• Ability to manage multiple orders, deadlines, and follow-ups.
• Comfortable working with spreadsheets, basic calculations, and inventory reports.
• Clear, professional communication by email and phone.
• Ability to work independently while coordinating closely with other departments.
• Willingness to learn purchasing systems and product lines.

Preferred Experience

Experience in purchasing, inventory control, distribution, order processing, or administrative support is helpful. Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and purchasing or inventory software is a plus. Direct buying experience is not required for a candidate with strong organizational skills and a willingness to learn.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $48,000.00 - $52,000.00 per year
